Second District Congresswoman Ann McLane Kuster was swept into office in the last election amid a storm of anti-incumbent feeling in the Granite State. In her victory speech, she promised to work in the spirit of bipartisanship. One year later, Kuster has voted with Republicans on some major issues, including aspects of Obamacare and the scope of the NSA surveillance program. And she has joined a bipartisan group called “No Labels” Problem Solvers. But some of those problems are tough to solve- the public is deeply divided over the Affordable Care Act, there’s been an uproar over cuts to food stamps, and when it comes to Democrats’ income inequality push, the devil’s proving to be in the details.
