Corey Lewandowski says he won't run for U.S. Senate in 2020.
President Trump's former campaign manager announced his decision today on Twitter.
The conservative Republican had waged a high-profile exploratory campaign against Senator Jeanne Shaheen, a Democrat seeking her third term in 2020.
New Hampshire's senior senator pointed to Lewandowski's possible candidacy to help raise funds for her re-election bid.

Three Republicans are now currently competing for their party's nomination with hopes of challenging Shaheen in the general election. They are: Donald Bolduc, Bryant "Corky" Messner, and Bill O'Brien.
Lewandowski, who lives in Windham, said he will make an endorsement soon. He added that he'll focus his energies on helping Trump win re-election.
(1/3) After much consideration I have decided to forgo a campaign for the US Senate. While taking on a career politician from the Washington swamp is a tall order, I am certain I would have won. My priorities remain my family and ensuring that @realDonaldTrump is re-elected POTUS

Shaheen's campaign has $4.2 million cash on hand, according to the Federal Election Commission, as of the Sept. 30 finance reporting deadline. Messner, who loaned his committee $1 million, showed $1.1 million. Bolduc was at $144,141, and O'Brien at $47,610, for cash-on-hand receipts at the October quarterly filing.
