The acting head of the Department of Health and Human Services is set to meet with state workers this week.
The State Employees Association says Jeffrey Meyers will meet with union members Tuesday night.
The Executive Council last week confirmed Meyers as acting commissioner but must still vote later this month on whether to appoint him for a full term.
The council plans a public hearing on the nomination for January 20.
Meyers is currently the department's director of intergovernmental affairs, where he works with the governor, legislators, federal officials and other health care entities to develop department programs.
