N.H. Department of Corrections Revises Prison Visitation Rules

N.H. state prison
NH.gov/ Department of Corrections

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is again revising its visitation rules.

All guests will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, and masks are required, but now all inmates will be allowed to receive short hugs from visitors.

The new rules are an update on previously released policies that would have put different rules in place depending on vaccination status.

Under the previous guidelines, unvaccinated residents would not have been allowed to hug their visitors, and would have had to maintain 6 feet of space between them at all times.

Visitation will still be prohibited during active outbreaks within prisons.
