Total Eclipse of the Art: A Celestial Exhibition at the Gallery at WREN

Total Eclipse of the Art: A Celestial Exhibition at the Gallery at WREN

The Gallery at WREN is proud to announce its upcoming exhibition, “Total Eclipse of the Art,” featuring eclipse-themed work from over 20 WREN members and guest artists on Monday, April 8.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, March 8 from 5 – 7 p.m. (snow date Saturday, March 9 from 5 – 7 p.m.), providing the public an opportunity to tour the exhibit, meet participating artists and astronomers, and learn about the upcoming total solar eclipse.

The centerpiece of this exhibition will be the dark sky photographic work of Douglas Arion, Professor Emeritus of Physics and Astronomy and dark sky defender. Arion’s imagery is printed on archival Hahnemühle Metallic Photo Rag® at Digital Silver Imaging in Belmont, Massachusetts. The images are then mounted on substrate and block mounts, creating a striking “floating” effect against the gallery walls. A wide body of work in various mediums will be on exhibit in this celebratory show.

As the 2024 sponsor of the Gallery at WREN, The Adair Country Inn & Restaurant will also have a variety of eclipse-themed work on display at their historic inn located at 80 Guider Lane in Bethlehem.

The Gallery at WREN is open Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
