Community Health Day in Pittsford, VT

Join us for the Community Health Day on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 12 PM to 2 PM at the Pittsford Rec Center, located at 223 Recreation Area Rd, Pittsford, VT. Organized by SVCOA in partnership with various local organizations, this event provides attendees with an array of free health services and resources.
Participants can receive complimentary health screenings, including Stay Steadi screenings, consultations, and information on wellness and self-advocacy. The event is supported by several community partners such as MyHealthyVT, VNA of the Southwestern Region, VT Food Bank, VT Medical Reserve Corps, and more. These groups will offer valuable resources and guidance on topics ranging from nutrition and legal aid to chronic disease management and community support services. Rutland County Health Partners will offer free health screenings and in partnership with the Vermont Department of Health, there will be immunizations available for uninsured or underinsured adults. The following vaccines will be offered based on availability at the time of this event:

Hep B
Tetanus
Pneumonia
Shingrix
*Free COVID-19 Test Kits

In addition to health services, a free BBQ lunch will be served to attendees aged 60 and older, courtesy of Pittsford Rec and TRIO. Please RSVP by September 12 to secure your meal.
