Our Trails are Open at the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center

Squam Lakes Natural Science Center kicks off its 60th anniversary season on Friday, May 1, marking six decades of connecting people with the natural world. The 2026 season invites visitors to explore the Live Animal Exhibit Trail, where a new series of interpretive panels celebrates the Science Center’s 60-year history, highlighting the animals, staff, volunteers, and events that have shaped its growth. This milestone year will also welcome the Science Center’s two millionth visitor since the trail system first opened on July 1, 1970.

Trail rates for 2026 are $30 for adults; $28 for seniors (age 65+); $24 for youth (ages 3-15); free for children 2 and Science Center members.
