New Horizons Band Open House
Dust Off Your Instrument – The Band Is Back Together!
New Horizons Band invites you to rediscover the joy of music, one note at a time
A Band for Everyone
Have you ever played an instrument—or wished you had? Whether your clarinet is tucked away in the attic or you’re just now considering picking up a trumpet, the New Horizons Band in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region is ready to welcome you.
This friendly community concert band brings together people from all walks of life: some who haven’t played in decades, others who are complete beginners. The mission is simple—make music, have fun, and build connections.
Led by Experience
Led by retired Laconia High School music educator Debbi Gibson, the New Horizons Band offers an encouraging, no-pressure environment where musicians of every level can grow.
“It’s not just about the music,” Gibson says. “It’s about creating something beautiful together—and laughing along the way.”
Rehearsals & Community
Rehearsals take place Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. at the Music Clinic in Belmont. Beginners are paired with mentors, and everyone receives the support they need to learn, rehearse, and ultimately share music that inspires both players and listeners.
“Being part of a band is like being part of something bigger than yourself,” Gibson adds. “It’s energizing for the mind, soul, and body.”
Find Your Spark
Whether you’re looking to rekindle your musical spark or light it for the very first time, New Horizons Band offers a place to belong—and a chance to be heard.
