Kolot Shonim Brings Inspired Contemporary Sound to Shabbat Service at Ahavas Achim, 2/7/25

Congregation Ahavas Achim welcomes Kolot Shonim on Friday evening, February 7th for its Shabbat of Song. Kolot Shonim, meaning "Different Voices," comprises musicians and singers Soloist Ilana Davidson, Hazzan Michael Kasper and Keene native Singer/Songwriter Eleanor Kaufman. Appearing with them will be Pianist Elliot Roman. The group blends together their diverse musical backgrounds to arrange, perform and write traditional secular and liturgical Jewish music.

Kolot Shonim takes inspiration from ancient cantorial and musical traditions as well as folk melodies and Israeli music. The depth of Kolot Shonim's knowledge brings a unique and beautiful interpretation to the Sabbath liturgy and beyond.
