Join us for an evening of art and conversation with visiting artist Jeffrey Augustine Songco. Songco will give a slideshow presentation, guiding attendees through his artistic practice and past projects. Society of 23’s Conservatory captures the look and feel of a conservatory meets greenhouse during the sun-drenched days of summer. Through the scope of florals and bouquet arrangements, Songco "plants" visual clues and non-verbal messages throughout the space, inviting viewers to reflect on their own personal and cultural origin stories and consider the constructs we create and dismantle for ourselves.

Visitors are invited to attend an optional tour of the exhibition, led by Songco, prior to his artist talk from 5:30-5:45pm. Please meet in Lamont Gallery.
