Cam McCormick, college football tight end, will play an unprecedented 9th season

A MARTÍNEZ, HOST:

Good morning. I'm A Martínez. For some folks, college just flew by. Not so for football player Cam McCormick. At his first school, the University of Oregon, McCormick had several seasons ended by injury, so the NCAA granted him extra years of eligibility. He's since transferred to the University of Miami, where he will play an unprecedented ninth season of college football. The tight end has already earned his bachelor's and his master's degree. Cam, just go for the doctorate. You're there. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
