A lion has escaped again from Karoo National Park in South Africa. The 3-year-old lion named Sylvester slid underneath a fence at the park after a rain storm. On his latest adventure, he killed a cow, and authorities worry that other livestock and possibly people are in danger.

The park said it considering killing the animal once he is captured, but there has been an outcry from the public to keep the big cat alive. Here & Now’s Meghna Chakrabarti speaks with Vicki Croke, host of WBUR’s The Wild Life blog about the runaway lion.
