Runners brave the elements today in the North Pole Marathon. According to the race organizer’s Facebook page, the first planeload of competitors arrived safely today, and they’re settling into the -30 degree temperatures. Another planeload of competitors is expected later today, “which leaves us with an anticipated race start time of around midnight.”
