Royals Hope To Repeat 2014 Success

It’s April and that means Opening Day for baseball is this weekend.

Last year, the unexpected late-season surge by the Kansas City Royals caught the country by surprise. Though the Royals are the defending American League champions, experts don’t rate their chances very high of even making the playoffs again this year.

But as Greg Echlin from Here & Now contributor KCUR reports, that hasn’t dampened the spirit of the team or its fans.
