Will the Killen Trial Bring Peace to Philadelphia?

A jury may soon decide the fate of Edgar Ray Killen, a former Ku Klux Klan leader who's on trial for the 1964 murders of three civil rights workers in Jackson, Miss. Commentator Deborah Mathis hopes the trial may bring peace to the rural Mississippi town. Mathis is a syndicated columnist and a professor at the Medill School of Journalism.

UPDATE: Killen was convicted of three lesser counts of manslaughter by jury Tuesday afternoon.
