FAA Increases Safety Vigilance for United, U.S. Airways

NPR's Bob Edwards reports officials with the Federal Aviation Administration will be checking to make sure United Airlines and U.S. Airways don't compromise maintenance now that they have both declared bankruptcy. Increased supervision by the FAA is prompted by an airline having financial problems, labor unrest or rapid growth.
