High wind gusts and icing on wires across the state contributed to more than 12,000 electric customers losing power by late Monday afternoon.

New Hampshire Electric Cooperative reported 6,040 outages as of 5:30 p.m.

Eversource reported 5,351 customers without power.

Liberty Utilities had about 2,100 customers affected, with half of those outages in Lebanon and Hanover.

Unitil reported about 160 without power in the Concord area.

Line crews have fanned out statewide to restore service.

The Monadnock region, the Upper Valley and pockets of the Lakes Region experienced the most outages.

Power companies remind residents to stay away from downed wires and call for help.
