Internationally best-selling author Ann Patchett will discuss her latest work, The Dutch House, with NHPR’s Peter Biello as part of the “In The Spotlight” series—a partnership between Gibson’s Bookstore, The Capitol Center for the Arts and New Hampshire Public Radio.
Patchett will appear in Concord on Wednesday, October 2, at the Capitol Center’s Chubb Theatre. After the literary conversation between Patchett and Biello, audience members will be able to ask questions.
Patchett’s award-winning work includes seven novels, three nonfiction titles and an illustrated children’s book. Her eighth novel, The Dutch House, tells the story of two siblings navigating life after the purchase of a beautiful family home derails their reality. Her writing has garnered accolades such as England’s Orange Prize and her books have made The New York Times bestsellers list and The New York Times Notable Books list. Patchett is also the co-owner of an independent bookstore in Nashville.
Peter Biello is the local host of All Things Considered on NHPR. He also serves as the host of The Bookshelf podcast, which highlights New Hampshire and New England authors. Prior to coming to NHPR, he served as a producer and host at Vermont Public Radio, and as a reporter/host in Wilmington, North Carolina. While living in Vermont, Peter founded the Burlington Writers Workshop, a nonprofit writing workshop for aspiring writers.
