The New Hampshire Attorney General's office has released the first report required under the terms of its settlement with St. Paul's School. The Concord prep school reached an agreement with prosecutors last year stemming from decades-long allegations of sexual misconduct on campus.
The report is the first St. Paul's will be subject to for five years under the settlement agreement. The report covers the first six months of 2019.
It found 25 reportable incidents involving St. Paul's students, on and off campus. Those ranged from non-consensual sex to physical assault and theft.
According to the terms of the settlement, these incidents were reported to authorities including Concord police, the New Hampshire Department of Justice and the state Division of Children, Youth and Families.
Attorney General Gordon MacDonald says the first report, filed by an independent overseer, delivers on the terms laid out in the settlement, and "brings unparalleled transparency that will lead to improvements aimed at student welfare and safety."
Among other things, the report recommends St. Paul's improve the reporting protocols it uses for its Advanced Studies Program, the summer session it runs for students from New Hampshire public and parochial schools.
