Governor Chris Sununu will be back in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, this time to talk about the opioid crisis.
Sununu was at the White House earlier this month for a summit on regulation.
Sununu will attend an event at the White House at 2 p.m. regarding the national response to the opioid epidemic.
The Governor’s office says Sununu got the invitation from the President earlier this week. But they said few details were shared on the agenda.
Other news sources have speculated that the President will be declaring the opioid crisis a national emergency. This is something New Hampshire’s national delegation has been calling for for months.
U.S. Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan will also be there.
