Sen. Bernie Sanders Will Chase Democratic Nomination

U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont will be jumping into the Democratic race for president, according to Vermont Public Radio.

Multiple sources close to the campaign told VPR that Sanders will announce his bid on Thursday, but will not hold an official kickoff ceremony until sometime next month.
The independent Senator is a strong crusader for income equality -- with a heavy focus on college affordability and wage fairness.
In March Sanders stopped in Concord where he told reporters the issues he wished to focused on, "you have a grotesque level of income and wealth inequality, real unemployment at 11 percent. You have a Citizens United Supreme Court decision, which allows billionaires to buy elections, and you have the planetary crisis of climate change."
So far Hillary Clinton is the only one running with a handful of other candidates even considering it.
