Gov. Hassan To Check On Flood Damage In Westmoreland, Lebanon On Wednesday

Governor Maggie Hassan will tour Westmoreland and Lebanon on Wednesday, two communities hit hard by last week's flooding.

Hassan will be joined by the state's Homeland Security and Emergency Management Director Perry Plummer to see how the towns are recovering from the damage.

The governor declared a state of emergency due to the flooding, which officials say caused more than two million dollars in damage.

Officials with FEMA toured damaged areas Tuesday to determine whether the state will qualify for federal funds.

The state is also encouraging residents who have personal property damage to call 2-1-1.
