The Portsmouth Athenaeum is proud to sponsor a performance by the West Point Regimental Band, currently touring New England. The brass quintet performs a wide range of chamber music including the renaissance works by Claudio Monteverdi, romantic-era chamber works of Oskar Bohme, and other serious chamber music composers. The West Point Band has been peforming music since 1812 and can trace its musical heritage back to 1778. Join us at the newly renovated North Church to hear this exciting group play. There is no charge for the concert but donations will be gratefully received.
