SHARP Dance Company

SHARP Dance Company

A highly regarded and award-winning modern dance company known for its captivating storytelling through movement.
SHARP believes dance should be an immersive experience, weaving classic technique with thought-provoking narratives that resonate with audiences of all backgrounds.

A captivating dance showcase featuring various pieces that explore profound human experiences. “Stories” reflects on personal narratives and connections post-pandemic. “The Journey” delves into self-discovery and resilience. “I Am Here,” choreographed by Miguel Quiñones, examines different forms of support, from emotional empathy to physical assistance. “Chosen,” by guest artist Joe Cotler, explores strength, vulnerability, and relationships. “Roller Coaster Rules” offers a lighthearted look at following or breaking rules. After an intermission, “Blind Faith – Part 3,” SHARP’s signature piece, highlights mutual strength and support. “Fate” contemplates love, loss, and destiny, while “Luminary” portrays the burden of being a family’s anchor. Finally, “Puzzle,” a collaboration by Joe Cotler and Diane Sharp-Nachsin, combines diverse styles and experiences into one exciting modern dance.

“SHARP Dance Company is quickly becoming recognized for their combination of inspired artistry, imagination-capturing ‘stories of performance’ and the discipline required of such performance mastery.”
