Poetry Society of New Hampshire: Lauren Parker

Poetry Society of New Hampshire: Lauren Parker

Join the Poetry Society of New Hampshire on Wednesday August 20th, 2025, from 4:30-6:00 pm for an afternoon of poetry! Their headliner this month is poet Lauren Parker. An open mic follows her reading.

Poet bio: Lauren Parker is a fourth generation female breadwinner descended from male charlatans, and thus has grown up to become a very educated liar. She is a writer, zine maker, and visual artist and has written for the Toast, Strange Horizons, Catapult, and Autostraddle. Her work focuses on the intersection of class, queerness, and the occult. Her poetry collection, Dark Way Down, has been rated five stars by Readers' Favorite and ranked "get it" by Kirkus Reviews. She’s the author of the poetry collection We Are Now the Thing in the Woods (Bottlecap Press, 2023) and Spells for Success (Simon Element, 2025).
