JAFFREY KICKS OFF EARTH WEEK
All are invited to join in kicking off Earth Week with a free community celebration on Tuesday, April 16, the first day of Earth Week 2024! Jaffrey Climate Initiative and the Jaffrey Conservation Commission will host a family-friendly event at the United Church of Jaffrey, 54 Main St. in the Parish Hall, 5-7 p.m., featuring a zero-waste potluck (b.y.o. dish, cup and utensils and food or beverage to share) and music by the popular local band Kota. State Rep Lucius Parshall (Cheshire 8), former State Rep and Marlborough Energy Committee Chair Marge Shepardson, and Dublin UCC Energy Advocate Bob Meissner will talk about initiatives at the state and grass roots levels to address important local concerns, including Extended Producer Responsibility.
