Hiking Sticks and Stories

Hiking Sticks and Stories

This Week's Program: Join the Squam Lakes Association’s LRCC members Meg and Tara for a partnered event with the Holderness Free Library on September 21st starting at 10AM. We will be spending time decorating your own hiking sticks using natural materials found right here in our watershed! After we will lead a short guided walk on the nature trail and then finish our event off with a story telling. We will be providing light refreshments but participants are welcome to bring their own food and water for the duration of the program.

What to Bring: Participants are encouraged to wear clothing they don’t mind getting dirty and closed toed shoes suitable for a short guided walk around the nature trail. All other materials are provided.

Audience: All ages are welcome to join in decorating a hiking stick. The walk and story time are geared towards a younger audience. Children must be accompanied by adults.
