Gounod's Requiem at Christ Church Exeter
On Friday, March 29th, the Christ Church Exeter Choir will be performing Gounod's Requiem with chamber orchestra and quartet of professional vocalists, conducted by Suzanne Jalbert Jones, during their Good Friday service.
The ensemble of singers includes parishioners from Christ Church, singers from the Seacoast community, and beyond. In keeping with the tradition of prior years, the Good Friday liturgy will be interposed with all original movements of Gounod’s lesser-known, powerful requiem.
