Go Orienteering at Beaver Brook Before Winter Sets In!

Go Orienteering at Beaver Brook Before Winter Sets In!

The Up North Orienteers invite the public to come try orienteering at Beaver Brook's Maple Hill Farm in Hollis, NH on Saturday, December 13th.

Exploring the woods in late autumn can be great fun and there is not better way to do it than by orienteering at Beaver Brook's Maple Hill Farm. Bring your family and friends along with you. Orienteering lets everyone participate individually or in a group at a level right for their age and fitness.

Orienteering is an easy to learn recreational activity that involves navigating between points using a map and compass. Think of it as treasure hunting in the woods if you like.

Participants may register and start any time on December 13th between 10 AM and 1 PM. Experienced orienteers will be on hand at Beaver Brook to help newcomers learn the basics and give the sport a try.

Additional information, including directions to the assembly and parking areas, may be found at the Up North Orienteers web site, https://upnoor.org/event/beaver-brook-assoc-annual-meeting-maple-hill-farm/ . Questions may be sent to Jim Arsenault, the event organizer, at jearsenaul@aol.com .
