First Friday: An American Harmonium Concert
Enjoy a concert of music for American Harmonium. This rare instrument is related to the victorian-era parlor organs that were ubiquitous in American living rooms at the turn of the last century, but more elaborately designed for concert use. Mountain Top executive director George Wiese will be joined on stage by Canadian keyboardist Amadeusz Kazubowski-Houston. Both musicians will present solo selections, as well as take turns at the Majestic’s magnificent Steinway in a series of duos for harmonium and piano.
