Classicopia

Classicopia

Classicopia is a non-profit, year-round, professional chamber music organization dedicated to performing great chamber music in intimate spaces and non-traditional venues. Founded in Hanover, New Hampshire in 2001, Classicopia has performed over 1,800 high quality thematic chamber music programs, salons, and educational outreach programs in the New England area. Classicopia is a constantly changing ensemble made up of the best musicians in the region as well as musicians from around the world. Each concert uses different instruments, from strings to woodwinds to vocalists. Artistic Director and pianist Daniel Weiser speaks about each piece before it is performed to provide background about the composer and the music and to break down the barriers between performers and audience in order to have a more informal and relaxed concert atmosphere.

Artistic Director Daniel Weiser, piano, has a Doctorate in Piano/Chamber Music from the Peabody Conservatory, where he studied with Samuel Sanders and Robert MacDonald and won the Richard Franko Goldman prize for outstanding contribution to musical and educational life.

The Bailiff’s Café will be serving up treats and beverages.
