A hands-on opportunity to delve into the world of wine blending. Experience premium wines from Catena Zapata with expert Ann Marie Sgroi.

We are so excited to have acclaimed Argentinian wine producer Catena Zapata at Wine on Main for a blending seminar! This blending seminar offers a unique opportunity to experience Malbec from five different sub-regions within Mendoza, Argentina. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own signature blend and sample wines from these diverse terroirs under the guidance of expert educator Ann Marie Sgroi.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a flight of the Alta Chardonnay and Alta Cabernet and hear about the Catena estate and the region of Mendoza.

Afterwards, guests will each be provided with five samples- or components of the individual wines- that make up the Catena Alta Malbec. Through tasting, Ann Marie will teach us about how the different altitudes, soils, and microclimates affect each of the different components despite the fact they are all the same clone, vintage and vinified the same way.

Then, we let you create a glass of your own Malbec blend and compare it to the Catena Alta Malbec! Guests will get to use graduated cylinders and blending kits to achieve their perfect wine.

End the evening with a sip of the Malbec Argentino, an epic wine which tells the tale of the noble Malbec grape's journey like no other.
