This summer, ACT Jr. presents Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr.!

Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.

Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence, and special powers! She’s unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth sailing, however – the school’s mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils’ saving grace!

Our ACT Jr. Campers will be performing on August 17th, 18th 6pm, and August 19th 1pm & 4pm.

Please bring a lawn chair or blanket and come enjoy ACT Jr.’s first outdoor performance of the summer! Performed on our new outdoor stage, with lawn seating.

Tickets are included in the cost of the camp, but donation buckets will be available at the shows, we would be grateful for your donations. There will also be concessions for sale.

Please note, these performances are weather based. In the event of heavy rain or thunder, we will cancel the performance. In the event of light rain, the audience members are encouraged to bring ponchos/raincoats. Umbrellas will not be allowed, as they will block views for other fellow audience members. The rain date for any cancelled performances is Sunday, August 20th, times TBD.
