As high school students across the country bear down for the SATs, many of them are also thinking about a hurdle to higher education that they can’t overcome by studying: how to pay for college.
Raise.me, a startup funded in part by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Facebook, has set up a kind of online marketplace for “micro-scholarships” to help students earn money for completing tasks such as getting an A, volunteering or starting a club.
