Matthew Cooke is a Hollywood producer and director who worked on the Oscar-nominated documentary “Deliver Us from Evil,” which took an in-depth look at a California Catholic priest who admitted raping and abusing 25 kids. He then turned his camera to the war on drugs, in the biting film “How to Make Money Selling Drugs.”

Now, Cooke has launched a weekly online video commentary, “Survivors Guide to Earth.” Soon he’ll release a documentary, “Survivor’s Guide to Prison,” that looks at policing policies and what he calls the mass incarceration of minorities in America.
