Settlement Reached In 'Kids For Cash' Case

On Monday, a federal judge officially approved a settlement between businessman Mark Powell and people who had been sentenced to juvenile detention as children by judge Mark Ciavarella. The settlement stipulates that Powell, who paid Ciavarella to sentence kids to Juvenile detention facilities he owned, will pay $4.75 million.

We look back on our 2013 conversation with William Ecenbarger, the author of “Kids for Cash,” a book that documents the case.
