Tijuana Becomes A Foodie Destination

South of the world’s busiest border crossing, the Mexican city of Tijuana attracts tens of thousands of visitors from the U.S. each day. Most come from the neighboring U.S. city of San Diego.

San Diegans used to come to drink and gamble in what was once known as a Sin City, but Tijuana’s rising reputation as a quality food destination is what’s attracting visitors now – despite a spike in murders this spring.

KPBS Fronteras reporter Jean Guerrero visited restaurants to find out how the culinary scene is evolving.
