New York Fashion Week has begun, as the fashion and entertainment worlds are reeling from the death of comic and “Fashion Police” co-host Joan Rivers, who passed away yesterday at the age of 81.

Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson remembers Joan Rivers with designer and stylist Carson Kressley, who is best known as the fashion maven of the show “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.”

Kressley says he was nervous meeting Rivers for the first time — the day the photo above was taken — but the late comedienne “was an utter delight. She was like, ‘listen, as long as they send a car for you, get in, show up, go to work, have a good time, and go home.’”
