'Rudy' Crew Takes on the Miami-Dade School District

Rudolph "Rudy" Crew is the incoming Miami-Dade County schools superintendent. He is former chancellor of New York City's schools, and once led districts in Sacramento and Tacoma, Wash. Crew talks with NPR's Tony Cox about academic performance for black, Latino and poor students, social promotion and managing school districts in areas around the country.
