A Check-Up On Medical Marijuana In New Hampshire

VIA UFLEDU
Packages of medical marijuana at a California dispensary

New Hampshire's program has been in place for several years now and appears to be gaining acceptance among patients and providers.  We find out who's using the system, who's providing the drug, and what questions remain -- including medical concerns, bureaucratic hurdles, and the possibility of federal intervention.

  • Dr. Stuart Glassman - Rehabilitation medicine physician at Granite Physiatry in Concord. He represents the NH Medical Society on the Cannabis Oversight Committee and also serves on the Commission to Study the Legalization, Regulation, and Taxation of Marijuana.
  • Lisa Withrow -  Family nurse practitioner and owner of Palliativity Medical Group in Bedford.

Also joining us:

  • Jacob Borodovsky - PhD candidate at the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. He has done extensive research exploring the link between marijuana laws and cannabis use in the general population.
  • Brett Sicklick - Chief operating officer for Prime Alternative Treatment Center of New Hampshire, which runs a dispensary in Merrimack.
