In Studio Performance: Mile Twelve

Mile Twelve

Mile Twelveplayed an in-studio performance of songs from their new album, "City on a Hill." It is—as the band members say during this studio session—a work of contemporary themes cast against a traditional bluegrass canvas.

The bluegrass band is: Evan Murphy on lead vocals and guitar, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes on fiddle, Catherine "BB" Bowness on banjo, David Benedict on mandolin, and Nate Sabat on bass and lead vocals. The band's name comes from the mile marker at Boston's southern border on 93. Listen to one of Mile Twelve's songs:

Kate has been hosting The Folk Show since 1995. In addition to her studio work, Kate emcees festivals and concerts throughout the Northeast.
