GATHERING TO STOP TAR SANDS OIL IN THE NORTH COUNTRY, JEFFERSON
Saturday January 18 5 PM Upstairs at 37 Hyfield Lane, Jefferson. Meet UNH student activist Kathryn Thomson and organizer Brett Chamberlin, who will travel the full Portland-Montreal pipeline January 14-21, meeting and exploring the communities and ecosystems endangered by the risk of a tar sand spill. Sponsored by the NWF Campus Ecology Fellowship on Stopping the Expansion of Dirty Energy, they plan to document their journey to give voice to those at risk and raise awareness of the tar sands oil issue. Thursday January 23 7 PM. The discussion will feature short stories by Geore Saunders and David Foster Wallace.
