Back in N.H. Friday, Booker Tells Voters to Choose Unity

Upper Valley residents packed Salt hill Pub in Lebanon Friday morning to see Democratic presidential hopeful Senator Cory Booker.

He urged voters to not to get pulled apart by political divides. “The dream of America is in the balance right now,” he said. “Hate or love, what will we choose?”

He stressed policy priorities like education funding and reducing the cost of health care.

Booker's remarks at one point earned him a standing ovation from the crowd, but afterward many people in attendance said they hoped to hear more details in his remarks.

“I didn’t think there were a lot of specific policy points,” said Simon Herron of Hanover.

“One thing I would have like to have heard was how all these things are going to be paid for,” said Craig Cohen of Grantham. “There’s a lot of mom and apple pie that’s talked about, but when you really get down to it, it’s going to be dollars and cents.”
