Peter Siegel — musician, educator, and founding member of The Gaslight Tinkers — joins forces with classically trained violinist Mary Fraser. The duo stops by the studio to offer a preview of the upcoming River Romp Jam happening in Marlboro, Vermont from September 11–13.
Two-time Grammy nominee Farayi joins Kate McNally to discuss her latest Down the Road Records release, Prayer for the People. A Berklee College of Music protégé who started playing fiddle at age four in rural Idaho, Farayi brings her celebrated talents back to her musical roots in bluegrass and blues.
Award-winning singer-songwriter John Gorka visits The Folk Show to share stories and songs from his extensive catalog. Celebrated by The New York Times for his "fresh lyrics, a stunning emotional baritone, and his twisted humor," Gorka's acclaimed work has been recorded by icons including Mary Chapin Carpenter, Nanci Griffith, Mary Black, and Maura O’Connell.
