Yankee humorist Fred Marple launches Udder Nonsense

Yankee humorist Fred Marple launches Udder Nonsense

Join Yankee humorist Fred Marple as he reads from his new book, Udder Nonsense: More Tales from Frost Heaves. The Loon Lodge's fundraiser goes awry thanks to a flock of uncooperative ducks. A prize sow thwarts young Albert Cooper’s plans for romance. Millard Tuttle rescues Santa Claus, thanks to a baking mishap. A bingo champ meets her match in a talkative visitor, and Pastor Woodstead thinks it may be time to hang up his collar. All this and more in Fred’s new collection of semi-true tales, rumor and outright lies from the most under-appreciated town in New Hampshire.

Fred Marple has appeared on NHPR, New Hampshire Chronicle, and in the pages of Yankee Magazine and New Hampshire Magazine. He will read from Udder Nonsense and autograph copies at no additional charge. “Which gives you an idea of what my signature is worth,” says Fred.

This is a family friendly event, free and open to the public. Join Fred on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Peterborough Town Library. (Note: not a Peterborough Town Library sponsored event. )
