WOMEN'S+ GUIDED MAP AND COMPASS CLASS
WOMEN'S+ GUIDED MAP AND COMPASS CLASS
Friday, April 26, 2024 5:30PM - Sunday, April 28, 2024 3:00PM
This Map and Compass course is designed for anyone seeking to gain skills in topographic map reading and compass use. The course will offer a mix of indoor and outdoor classroom instruction on the basics of using a map alone, a compass alone, and finally using the two tools together. The second day will be spent practicing skills out in the field. We focus on practical, real-world skill building for the outdoorsperson who wishes to have a greater knowledge base for basic navigation and way-finding in the mountains.
Women's+ Adventures:
These experiences are led by women, trans and non-binary folks for members of these marginalized genders. What is a marginalized gender? Trans men and women, non-binary, and two-spirit people, in addition to cisgender women, are members of this group who have been historically marginalized based on gender.
