Join us for a free tour of Musquash Conservation Area hosted by Londonderry Historical Society member Dr. David Ellis. We will be visiting sections of an early road from the 1700s that served residents traveling between the Canada Ranges in the northern parts of Londonderry and Thornton’s Ferry (Litchfield to Merrimack) and stop at the cellar holes at the site of Cyril Lee’s farm and those of his son’s house if time permits.

The tour will depart from the trailhead at the end of Hickory Hill Drive at 10:00am. Parking there is limited, but there is additional roadside parking on Chestnut Hill Drive. The hike will be on marked trails but includes moderately steep hills. It will take 2 to 3 hours to walk about 2.5 miles with regular stops to discuss points of interest. Good walking shoes and water are recommended. Dogs on a leash are allowed.
