Virtual Museum Visit: The Hudson River School Painters

Virtual Museum Visit: The Hudson River School Painters

Join the Arts Council of Tamworth at the Tamworth History Center for a fun and enlightening afternoon experiencing the Hudson River School of painting's intersections with our area of New Hampshire!

The Hudson River School of the mid 19th century, considered by art historians the first major art movement of the newly formed United States, brought painters such as Thomas Cole and Frederic Edwin Church to the Lakes and White Mountain regions to paint our breathtaking landscapes. This "virtual museum" event will explore these paintings as well as the school's impact on artists of today.

Included will be a "Color Your Own Mt. Chocorua" activity where you can recreate some of the Hudson River School's iconic works for yourself. More information and online registration are available at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/virtual-museum-visit-the-hudson-river-school-painters.
