DAVE KELLER
One of the premier torchbearers of Deep Soul and Roots music Thirty years ago, Dave Keller set out a play the music he loved best: deep blues. Self-taught as a singer, he learned his lessons on the bandstand. Within a few years he switched to electric guitar, put together a funky trio and was performing throughout New England. Turns out he had a knack for making people feel good and writing memorable songs. Along the way he fell in love with Memphis Soul and he worked with mentors such as Sam McClain, Ronnie Earl and Johny Rawls.
He has earned three Blues Music Award nominations for best Sour Blues Album of the year. Today, Keller is more that just a touch-bearer for the music he loves. He is an award-winning recording artist, a powerful performer, and a top-notch songwriter, bringing his thrilling shows to stages around the world.
“Possessing one of the best soul-blues voices in the business and a deep social conscience too.”
