Trail Work Weekend Chatham Trails Association
Trail Work Weekend Chatham Trails Association
Chatham Trails Association maintains approximately 35 miles of hiking trails around Evans Notch in the White Mountain National Forest. Join us for a FREE weekend of trail work October 17-19 to help keep these trails in good condition. These weekends are a great way to connect with others and to give back to the trails we are so passionate about. Comfortable accommodations available at the AMC Cold River Camp and all meals provided. Prior trailwork experience is welcome but not necessary--we'll gladly teach new volunteers. Event runs from about 6pm Friday through Sunday morning with a full day of trail work on Saturday and half day on Sunday. Registration required by October 15 at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeCa3k6ORA7D6U5FQ1N4sn2kv-dk3HuR0-gRZP_6hwsgYQKrQ/viewform. There is no cost to volunteer at this event.
Please pack the ten essentials for your time on the trail, sturdy hiking shoes, and layers appropriate for the weather. Tools are provided. Bring your own bedding. Cabins have mattresses and a fireplace or wood stove.
Youth volunteers over 12 are welcome with an adult. Children under 12 must be approved by CTA in advance. Please reach out to president@chathamtrails.org for more information.
